The ZRD1 Project takes a deep dive into interesting zoning issues that have been the subject of previous Zoning Resolution Determination (ZRD1) requests. The ZRD1 Project believes that a careful study of these determination approvals may suggest some level of “department practice” and allow architects and developers the confidence to apply the Zoning Resolution accurately during early design phases.
Please note that approved ZRD1's apply only to the development for which they were issued. In addition, Department practice has evolved on many subjects and a prior approval may no longer represent Department practice. Always consult with an architect or zoning counsel to understand the specific regulations pertaining to your project.
